My name is Ariana.

I’m an illustrator, artist, and designer, but most of all I’m a creative. Born in South Texas, I was raised by an artist and have always had a passion to create. It was when I finished high school that I chose the artistic route to follow, and with this direction, I achieved my BFA in Illustration with a minor in Art History. I pursued illustration for its diversity and flexibility, and I used my extra time to study the history of creation because I value the knowledge that can inform the future of decision-making and rule-breaking. I primarily work in digital mediums, but I love to pay homage to traditional work by using faux brushes and realistic textures.

I have always tried new things in my work, and as an illustrator, I continue to pursue the endless goal of personal style through practice and experimentation. I had very little professional schooling or experience until college, and I have been working hard to create work that I am proud of. I have interests in character design, creature design, surface pattern design, printmaking, bookmaking, and how I can apply illustration to all aspects of my work. I love to see my work become tangible, and I care about process and concept work just as much as the joy of a final product.
